Congratulations to Devin Chamberlin, horn, for recieving a full tution music scholarship to LSU - this was offered to her at the conclusion of the summer camp in June. 

Congrats to the Percussion Ensemble and Showcase for being invited to perform at the 2010 Florida Music Educators State Conference held at the Tampa Convention Center in January 2010 - this is the 2nd time in three years for the Percussion Ensemble and the first for Showcase.  More information will be out in September.    

DCI will coming to Florida on Saturday, July 11, 2009.  The show is in Orlando and will include Teal Sound, Spirit, Crown, Phantom, etc...All band and starette students along with friends & parents are invited to attend.  The cost is $35 per person and includes the group ticket rate of $15 + $20 for the bus - everyone has to bring their own money for food and souvenirs.  Report time will be 3:40pm at Sweetbay (next to Gaither), depart by 4pm, show starts at 7pm & ends at 10pm, return to Sweetbay at Midnight.  Please print out the form below and turn in to the black box in the band room.

2009-10 Sponsorship Information

The 2009 Marching Show is titled "Art in the Park" featuring the paintings of Monet, Polleck, Van Gough, and Picasso with the following music selections to go with each - Claire de Lune, One Man Show, Starry NIght, and Medea.  Each year the Gaither band students along with the band students from Ben Hill and Buchanan Middle Schools receive a show shirt.  The shirt has the theme on the front and ads from local businesses - each ad costs $100 and $20 will be directly placed in the students' account.  Our goal is 30 ads, which will cover ALL expenses from the shirt along with helping assist the program with the instrument drive - a $25,000 goal.  Below is the form - please submit early as space on the shirt fills up quickly.  Thank you for supporting the Gaither Band
